Beautiful sights in Lurgan Park during the heavy snow and frost.

|  | Lets go Fly a Kite
Families gathered in Lord Lurgan Memorial Park on Saturday 28th March to attempt to fly their home made kites (a workshop was held in Lurgan Park the previous week for construcion). Although there was lots of laughter, there were very few airborne kites ... so I think it is back to the drawing board and better luck next year.

|  | Irish Championship, Cross Cycling
Lurgan Park played host to the Cross Cycling Irish Championship in January 2009, conditions were perfect and over 200 competitors enjoyed the difficult terrain of Lurgan Park.

|  | Family Fun Day
Families enjoyed a last day of fun before returning to school after the summer holidays. Bouncy castles, face painting, balloon modelling, arts and crafts, climbing wall and rowing boats on the lake were all on offer, as well as live music from Wellington Silver Band.

|  | Race for Life 2007
The Cancer Research Race for Life event was held in Lurgan Park on Tuesday 19th June, attracting more than 600 women and girls to take part in a 5 km walk, run or jog. It is hoped this will become an annual event, so keep your eye out for further information.

|  | Wedding in the Park
The first civil ceremony was held in Lurgan Park on Saturday 26th May 2007, Mick and Alyson tied the knot in the marquee and enjoyed photos around the fountain and harbour area.
